Welcome to the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership
The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University is excited to welcome its speakers and guests to the annual spring 2020 Conference. The conference will take place over two days on February 28 and 29 at ASU's Tempe campus. If you're coming from out of state and need lodging and flight information for your trip, please visit ASU's comprehensive travel site, which covers airport information, hotel and lodging rates and more.
The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership began offering classes in 2017 with a curriculum that combines a classical liberal arts curriculum with intensive learning experiences that include study abroad programs, professional internships and leadership opportunities. Students who graduate with a degree or minor in civic and economic thought and leadership are ready for careers in government, law, businesss and civil society.
As part of its civic mission, the school has also been tasked to curate an annual speaker series where top minds in education, politics, business, law and civics come to campus to have a civil conversation with students, faculty, and our community. The annual series, which is the namesake of this conference, is aired on Arizona PBS and available online.
The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership currently offers three academic programs and is in the process of developing a masters program that is expected to launch in the fall of 2020. Learn more about our academic offerings:
