About the school

The School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership began offering classes in 2017 with a curriculum that combines a classical liberal arts curriculum with intensive learning experiences that include study abroad programs, professional internships and leadership opportunities. Students who graduate with a degree or minor in civic and economic thought and leadership are ready for careers in government, law, businesss and civil society.

As part of its civic mission, the school has also been tasked to curate an annual speaker series where top minds in education, politics, business, law and civics come to campus to have a civil conversation with students, faculty, and our community. The annual series, which is the namesake of this conference, is aired on Arizona PBS and available online
