Maureen O'Gara Hackett - $8,000
Maureen O'Gara Hackett Scholarship
Jim and Maureen Hackett have generously endowed a substantial scholarship for a student in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. The successful candidate will have demonstrated academic excellence and show evidence of ethical leadership potential in the public sector (government, military, intelligence, politics etc.) and/or private sector (business, non-profits, law, academia, the arts etc.).
Amount: $8,000

- Minimum GPA: 3.00
- Need-based: No
- Residency: Arizona resident, Non-Arizona resident

In the "Additional Documentation" section please upload a copy of your unofficial transcripts from all colleges/universities attended and your resume.
In the "Supplemental Essay" section please provide a 500-word essay describing your contributions in leadership, civic engagement, and/or community service as a SCETL student and explaining how your SCETL education will help you achieve your post-graduation ambitions.
Applicants for the Maureen O'Gara Hackett scholarship must be majors or minors in Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership or be earning the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) Certificate.
George Washington Scholarship - $3,000
George Washington Scholarship
The George Washington Scholarships were created to honor outstanding academic achievement and leadership ability by a major in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership.
Amount: $3,000
This scholarship is currently accepting applications for Fall 2024. The application deadline is November 3, 2024.

SCETL Promise Scholarship
The SCETL Promise scholarship aims to provide support to students in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership.
Amount: $2,500
This scholarship is currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application deadline is November 3, 2024.

Founders Scholarship - $1,500
Scholarship Information
The Founders Scholarships were created to honor excellent academic achievement and leadership ability by a major or a minor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership.
Amount: $1,500
Funds can be used to support any SCETL related activity, e.g. research trip, GIE, internship, books, conferences, SCETL course fees, etc.
