Support our centers
Center for American Civics
The Center for American Civics is a non-partisan outreach center under the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership that aims to support civic education at all levels within and beyond the classroom environment. We support scholars, teachers, and students in their efforts to understand and improve American political society. We are nonpartisan and inter-ideological, focused on pursuing knowledge and practicing truth as common goods for American politics and culture.
Center for the Study of Economic Liberty
The Center for the Study of Economic Liberty serves students and the public through research, education, and community outreach regarding the nation’s most pressing economic policy issues. Committed to communicating the role that economic liberty and free enterprise play in increasing opportunity and improving well-being, the Center seeks to advance understanding through independent thinking, scholarly debate, factual argument, and honest communication of research and policy findings.
"The core spirit of these endeavors is the nexus of great intellectual works with leadership and statesmanship for 21st century America and a globalized world."

How you make a difference
As a donor, you offer a SCETL student the opportunity to take an internship, study abroad, invite a guest speaker or coordinate a service project. Our donors invest in the ASU community, the Arizona community, and beyond.
CivEd
A crucial premise of our constitutional democracy is an informed electorate, one that understands self-government and is inspired to participate. A core mission of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership is to help educators teach civics and to elevate civics literacy and informed citizenship in Arizona and beyond.
Public Programs
The school invites ASU students, staff and faculty, and the community to join us for conversations concerning civic life and leadership. The school hosts a robust schedule of speaker events, including an annual series aired on PBS Arizona. The school is dedicated to offer these events for its students and the community at no cost as a place to hold civil discourse around the pressing issues of our times.
Global Intensive Experiences
The school offers Global Intensive Experiences during academic breaks. During their travels, students research, explore, work, and collaborate with people from different backgrounds and perspectives in order to gain a deeper understanding of the important issues that they will need to consider in order to be effective, thoughtful, globally-conscious leaders.
