Internship Description
In the Washington, D.C. office, helping caseworkers in the district catalogue issues; assisting legislative correspondents in constituent services by answering phones, sorting mail or giving tours of the U.S. Capitol; and aiding the legislative assistants by researching policy issues. The internship program in Congressman Gosar’s office provides for a well-rounded education and experience in the legislative process. The office environment is incredibly fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative. The Congressman pursues a dynamic legislative and communications agendas. Our interns play an integral role in day-to-day office function. Interns will perform various administrative tasks and communicate with constituents daily. They are responsible for managing incoming phone calls and will assist legislative staff in researching issues. Additionally, they will lead tours of the U.S. Capitol building, attend hearings and briefings, and compile briefing memos for the staff afterward.
