Internship Description
Interns will work remotely with staff teams to provide research, track hearings and legislation, draft memos, and take notes at high-level meetings. Attending briefings and writing summaries, daily news clips, drafting constituent letters, research reports on policy and legislative issues, managing office correspondence and legislative documents. preparation of hearing and meeting materials, front office reception and telephone services. Internship Requirements
The position requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Intern responsibilities range from attending meetings on and off the Hill to drafting memos, tracking legislation and conducting research projects. Background knowledge of current and historical foreign policy issues, a good understanding of the legislative process, reading, writing, and research skills, and attention to detail in formatting and proofreading, mastery of the basic features of Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with Windows file systems and using online databases. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work on team projects
