While you are here for the Spring 2022 Conference, take some time to explore Arizona State University’s Tempe Campus. From a secret garden to our favorite historical building, this campus is full of character, charm and beauty.

And one of the best parts about ASU is each building has a unique address. Simply type the building’s name into your preferred map app, and you’re good to go! Here are some awesome spots to check out on Arizona State University’s Tempe Campus:

Art Museum

The ASU Art Museum is perhaps the most recognized place on campus. The use of innovation and creativity in sync is apparent in each of the exhibits. This internationally recognized leader in contemporary art is a campus space that honors and celebrates the creative minds studying here. It is a gem of a museum already, but to make it even better, the admission is free!

Gammage

Indulge in the dramatic version of yourself and take a stroll to ASU Gammage, “a world-class arts presenting organization, which brings the best of the performing arts to Arizona”. This Tempe landmark is a community favorite. The theater offers quality art, performance, and education all month long. This February some of their performances will include: Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, and the Ravel, Kaminsky, and Beethoven Pastoral Symphony.

Old Main

Take a trip down memory lane and explore Old Main and the Old Main Lawn. Inside this historic ASU building is a gallery of photos and keepsakes from when ASU was Normal College and their mascot was a bulldog not Sparky. This peaceful piece of architecture is not only a glimpse at the school’s history, it is also a quiet place to read, explore, or attend an event! Additionally, the lawn and fountain out in front make an excellent background if you are feeling confident and wanting to do a photoshoot.

Coor Hall

Want a good view? Grab lunch to-go and walk to the west side of campus to find the Coor building. Take the elevator all the way up to the highest floor and you will be pleasantly surprised with what you find at the top. Plus, with its tables and chairs, it creates an open-air patio for people to admire the view and enjoy a meal. So, get some good food, make the journey to the top of Coor, then bask in the sun and enjoy your secret rooftop lunch rendezvous.

Skyspace Ramada and Garden

Enjoy the outdoors surrounded by contemplative nature designs and art installations at the Skyspace Ramada and Garden. Explore renowned artist, James Turrell’s, piece of art-meets-ecosystem right here on campus. The Skyspace Ramada - or “Air Apparent” - invites viewers to experience light in a completely new way and the adjacent Diane and Bruce Halle Skyspace Garden is an inviting outdoor space to unwind and connect with nature.

We hope this list gave you an idea of all of the wonderful places on ASU‘s Tempe campus.
